I took up photography by chance after I realized hyperactivity and ADD kept me from being a good test taker, but perfect traits for snapping pictures. Growing up in a Southern family, I learned from a very young age that kindness, a smile, and a good sense of humor will take you anywhere. My folks love for the outdoors and cross country family camping trips in the Ford Squire pulling a pop-up Nimrod formed an everlasting impression of what I considered beautiful in this world: KOA's, Howard Johnsons and roadside attractions. As years passed and my travels expanded beyond the states, my most heartfelt times as a photographer have been shared with ordinary folks living, what I consider, extraordinary lives. The commonplace has fantastic stories and I deeply believe in its magic.

I share my life with my man, Dan, an artist and illustrator who introduced me to the world of photoshop layers. We have a home in Golden with three goofy dogs.
